Miriam El-Baz is a Managing Director at Grant Thornton Stax in our Boston office. Miriam advises private equity firms and PE-backed companies on buy- and sell-side transactions, value creation, and growth strategy.


For nearly a decade, Miriam has specialized in Education and EdTech, partnering with software and technology companies, product and service providers, educational institutions, and market-leading investors across the landscape. More broadly, her experience in the private equity ecosystem spans a variety of software and technology, business services, and consumer products segments.


Prior to joining Grant Thornton Stax, Miriam was a Senior Director at EY-Parthenon focused on helping clients in education markets navigate buy- and sell-side transactions, develop transformative strategies, and unlock value creation opportunities.


Miriam holds a B.A. in Economics and History, summa cum laude, from Bowdoin College.

When Miriam isn’t in Boston, she and her partner are likely exploring, hiking, and trying new restaurants in coastal Maine.
