Hazir Shafeek is the Global Head of Data Insights and IT at Grant Thornton Stax, overseeing IT operations, Grant Thornton Stax’s proprietary business intelligence platform, and the implementation, testing, and deployment of scalable tech and data solutions.
As a tech-driven leader, Hazir specializes in data management and technology implementation. He spearheads automation initiatives, integrates new data sources, and develops advanced BI reports while successfully managing key projects, including ERP upgrades and system implementations. Additionally, he leads cybersecurity efforts, supporting Stax’s progress toward ISO 27001 certification.
Prior to joining Grant Thornton Stax, Hazir held leadership roles at Acuity Knowledge Partners, and RRD. At Acuity, he led an investment research engagement for a major global client, coordinating with fund managers and performing stress testing and simulations of portfolios utilizing advanced financial modeling techniques. At RDD, he managed large teams across various verticals, driving the implementation of customized automation solutions across diverse business verticals and leading transformative projects for clients.
Hazir holds an MSc in Digital Business from the University of Westminster and an MBA from the University of West London. He is also a certified Professional Scrum Master I, ACMA, and CGMA.
Extracurricular
Outside of work, Hazir is a devoted father, cherishing every moment with his energetic son. When he's not busy decoding data mysteries, you'll find Hazir breaking a sweat either on the running track or at the gym.
