Anuj A. Shah is a Partner at Grant Thornton Stax where he advises private asset managers, investment banks, and corporations on ESG strategy and integration, impact measurement and management, and sustainable finance solutions

 
Prior to joining Grant Thornton Stax, Anuj served as a Partner at two different boutique ESG advisory firms: Close Group Consulting and KKS Advisors. He also founded Linear Impact Partners; an advisory firm focused on business development strategies for sustainable investing. Before Linear Impact Partners, he accumulated almost two decades of experience in the investment management industry, holding positions at Bankers Trust, Lehman Brothers, and Morgan Stanley. In his most recent role at Morgan Stanley, he served as the Head of Strategy and Business Management for the Private Wealth Management business unit. 
 
Anuj is an Advisor to Nossa Data, a firm that provides digital solutions to companies seeking to streamline their ESG reporting, and at BonBillo, a global incubator program for startups utilizing technology to advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals.  
 
Formerly, he was a member of the Advisory Board of 118 Capital, an impact investing fund with a focus on underserved communities, and held positions on the Board of Directors, including Treasurer, at Page 73 Productions, a nonprofit organization dedicated to nurturing and showcasing the creations of emerging playwrights. 

 

Anuj earned a Master of International Affairs with concentrations in International Financial Policy and South Asia from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Boston College.

Extracurricular

Anuj enjoys reading and always appreciates a good book recommendation. In addition, he is an aficionado of live music, a seeker of slow-life travel experiences, and maintains a dubious love-hate relationship with the New York Mets.
