Position Overview

Responsibilities
- Operational Management
- Manage day-to-day operations of Colombo office and team.
- Capacity and pipeline planning and workload balancing.
- Reporting to Colombo Managing Director, and global COO & CFO.
- Office expansion/ infrastructure and development.
Financial management
- Forecasting and allocating budgets.
- Revenue generation and utilization.
- Accounting and Audits.
- Payroll, vendor payments, statutory deductions and filings.
Human resources and recruiting
- Manage Colombo office growth plans and team structures.
- Recruiting and retention strategies.
- HR functions and structuring of benefits/ training plans.
Knowledge Management/ IT team management
- Develop and maintain in-house KM system.
- Formulate overall IT strategy for Colombo office.
- Use of technology for project delivery (client and inter-office).
Legal function
- Negotiate contracts with vendors (local/ international).
- Liaise with attorneys to draft agreements.
Requirements & experience
- Ideal candidate should be between 30 - 40 years of age, with 7 years of managerial level experience.
- Overseas experience in an operational role will (especially in the US) will be desired.
- MBA or equivalent qualification is a must.

Position Overview
The Data Analytics team specializes in conducting data driven, quantitative analysis on behalf of our clients. The data is generated via a mix of creative primary research techniques (e.g., phone surveys, online/web surveys), internal customer databases, and secondary research sources (e.g., financial filings of public companies).
Responsibilities
- Be able to extract data from various databases, format and clean data
- Generate insights from the data and present in relevant charts and graphs to be incorporated into project reports.
- Build simple solutions using programming tools such as VB, Excel Macros and web based technologies
Qualifications
- An undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification in a computer science related field.
- Knowledge in relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle and SQL server.
- Advanced level knowledge on SQL queries for data manipulation and extraction.
- Exposure to data mining and data warehousing technologies would be highly desired.
- Experience in an high level programming language such as Visual Basic or Java as well as experience in web-based application building is required.
- A very high level proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required while exposure to statistical tools such as SPSS and SAS will be very advantageous.
- Prior work experience in a similar role is not mandatory, but a clear analytical mindset, the desire to learn and the willingness to work with minimal supervision is an absolute must.
- Exposure to data-driven technologies and information systems is essential.

We are seeking creative and strategic researchers to provide in-depth research across all industry areas to support client work.
Responsibilities
- Respond to research requests from Stax teams and clients on a timely basis.
- Generate "reading packs" in response to research requests that accurately address the key issues/needs.
- Summarize research findings and implications to support project and sales teams.
- Proactively identify and update secondary research sources for use on projects.
- Ensure that the quality and timeliness of deliverables meet client expectations
- Develop insights from data, and write components of research reports that address key issues.
- Gather, review and analyze data generated from primary and secondary research sources.
- Support ongoing business intelligence, competitive and best practice efforts.
- Conduct independent research in support of project objectives. For example, conducting in-depth interviews with industry experts.
- Conduct analysis, interpret results and synthesize recommendations.
- Support Directors, Managers and Senior Analysts to conduct market sizing, customer segmentation and competitive landscape studies on projects.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree preferably in Economics, Marketing or Finance. A Masters degree is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of online business research using Dialog, Factiva/LexisNexis, and related services.
- Prior international experience (professional or academic) is highly desirable.
- Quantitative research skills highly desirable.
- Persistence and creativity in identifying and extracting data and information from published sources.
- Ability to search for information creatively and cost-effectively, and juggle multiple quick-turnaround projects under tight deadlines.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent strategic thinking, understanding of business research and analysis.

Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Stax Director overseeing the project, and be responsible for all aspects of project supervision including work plan development, team oversight, project deliverables, and client communications.
- Serve as project manager and team leader for Stax's business research and consulting project work.
- Manage and guide analysts and researchers on project teams
- Design relevant analyses, manage project scope, and resource utilization on client engagements.
- Quality control and review analysis, and client deliverables
- Interpret results, and communicate them effectively via written reports and verbally
- Ensure that the quality and timeliness of deliverables meet client expectations
- Responsibilities will also include some client development.
Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent, and at least 5 years relevant experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, market research or corporate advisory roles; out of which a minimum of 3 years proven experience in program or project management.
- Experience in report writing & story telling & proficiency in PowerPoint and Word.
- Experience working with the private equity community a plus.
- Quantitative research skills highly desirable.
- Experience managing, coaching, and developing analysts to enhance performance and encourage professional development.
- Prior international experience (professional or academic) is highly desirable.
- Ability to own, manage and deliver engagements on research and/or consulting project work.
- Strong project, client management, leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent strategic thinking, understanding of business research and analysis.
