Examples of Engagements:
- Market Review. A client used Stax’s consumer study to understand the impact of digital media and satellite on the use of terrestrial radio. Through collection of demographics, media consumption, and radio listening behavior (location, format preferences, frequency, total consumption), we were able to identify key listener segments, quantify the impact of digital media for each, and make recommendations regarding the overall risk of digital media on terrestrial radio.
- Due Diligence. In support of a PE Firm’s potential investment in a company providing software to the transportation industry, Stax determined the size and stability of the target company’s market in the U.S., across Europe, the Middle East and Eastern Asia. We further identified trends in products, technologies and delivery among players within the market, and how an “end-to-end” strategy for supply chain products may develop. The company has since grown considerably and the PE firm’s exit plan is looking strong.
- Market Validation. For a corporate manufacturer, Stax validated the opportunity for global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) in military applications. Specifically, the Client used our findings to better understand: GNSS equipment and technology spending trends; current and potential applications for the technology (and any pending shifts away from the technology); and the installed base and “white space” potential for additional applications in the future.
