Romero Hayman is a Director at Stax Inc., and has over 10 years of experience providing strategic advice to both private equity and corporate investors, as well as to management teams and corporate business units. At Stax, Hayman leads engagements involving commercial diligence, new market entry, product introduction and growth strategy formulation—exercises that typically rely on a strong understanding of the way that customers relate to and interact with providers in a specified market.
Hayman works across a variety of sectors with an emphasis on healthcare and consumer businesses. Within healthcare, much of his work is oriented around provider organizations and the delivery of healthcare services. His consumer work often involves developing a robust understanding of consumer decision-making and brand positioning among target customer bases.
Prior to Stax, he worked as a manager with the Center for Effective Philanthropy, where he advised foundation executives and boards of directors on their grantmaking strategies and grantee investments in order to achieve greater overall impact. Romero started his career as an Associate with Investor Group Services, where he conducted dozens of commercial diligence projects on middle market target companies across a variety of sectors, including retail, education, healthcare, IT, and manufacturing.
Romero holds an M.B.A. from MIT’s Sloan School of Management, and a B.A. in Psychology from Dartmouth College.
